English Shepherd Puppies

Why should you choose an English Shepherd?
These dogs were originally bred to be helpers on the farm from herding to varmint hunting and everything in between. They protect their family and livestock. They are great with cattle, sheep, goats, and poultry.
Their high intelligence and eagerness to please makes them easily trainable helpers. They are self-directed workers. There are plenty of stories of English Shepherds coming to the rescue with escaped livestock or fencing issues.
They are nurturing dogs. Instead of aggressively working the stock, they will develop a bond with the herd
English Shepherds have the stamina to cover the farmland acreage. They are agile with keen senses to find lost or injured animals. They will work alongside the farmer until the job is done, and then contentedly rest by their owners side.
They are also helpful hunters. The breed has been used for small game hunting for decades. English Shepherds are known for their tracking and treeing abilities.
English Shepherds are a great addition to any family. They are loving and kind to children of all ages. Known for being territorial they stay on their property and close to their owner. These devoted dogs will be at your side through every task.
Pictured are Ginger (mom) on the left and Percy (dad) on the right.
Mom, Ginger (Ginny) is 20 months old and weighs about 58lbs. She has lived on Praise Estates since she was a puppy. Ginny is a wonderful addition to the farm and loves helping her owners with chores. She is great children of all ages (1 1/2 up to adults).
Dad, Percy is 9 1/2 years old and weighs about 45lbs. He has lived on the farm since he was a puppy. It was Percy that won over the Praise Estates family on English Shepherds. He has proven to be a loyal and helpful farm hand. Loving and fun for all 10 grandkids. And a wonderful companion.

First Litter
This summer we bred Percy and Ginny. Ginny successfully gave birth to 10 wonderful puppies. This is Ginny’s first litter. She has proven to be a wonderful and caring mom to her pups. They are all thriving. Each puppy has been around children (age 1 ½ years of age and up). Our grandkids regularly visit the farm and we are impressed by the English Shepherd breed with kids. They are calm and gentle as they play with the kids.
All puppies have found forever homes. If you are interested in a future litter, please contact us to stay updated.
English Shepherd Dogs
This breed is exceptionally devoted and have a strong desire to work in partnership with their owner, whatever the task.

The Dream Companion
These herd dogs love to work on the farm or in whatever you are doing. They are excited to do anything with you – walking, running, working. English Shepherds are helpful farm hands. They watch my back in the pasture as I move cattle. This breed makes excellent family dogs. They will bond to you, play catch and frisbee, and chase balls. English Shepherds are obedient, smart, work as herd dogs, keep animals out of the yard or garden, and patrol the property. They will work with you (or sit and companionably watch you work), and love to walk, run, hike. The work you put into training them will be rewarded.
If you want a creature who is always excited to do anything with you working, they are your best bet. I believe they are a must for any small farm!
